Using the Semen Collector
The couple should have sex normally using the semen collector. The semen collector keeps the sperm from entering into the vagina where it could be potentially destroyed from a hostile vaginal environment. (High or low pH, yeast infection, or other unfavorable environments in the vagina can kill sperm) Once the couple has had intercourse, the semen collector should be removed from the penis. Squeeze the semen out of the collector and into the conception cap. This should be done as soon as possible after having sex.
Using the Conception Cap Before using the conception cap, the woman should be comfortable with her body and know how to find her cervix. There is an instruction manual included on how to find your cervix. Once the conception cap is filled with semen, pinch the cap together and insert it into the vagina, placing it upon the cervix. This will move the sperm closer to the uterus and will keep the sperm from spilling out into the vagina. Keep the conception cap in place for six to eight hours (or overnight).
How does it work?
The cornerstone of the kit is the Conception Cap, (cervical cap) which brings the semen in direct contact with the opening of the cervix for four to six hours. This allows the sperm cells a greater opportunity to move into the uterine cavity and fertilize an egg.
What fertility issue can the Conception Kit™ help with?
The Conception Kit™ may help with male factor issues such as low sperm count or motility. It can also improve the chances of getting pregnant for women with a tilted uterus or hostile vaginal environment. It will not, however, help with female issues such as luteal phase defect, PCOS, or endometriosis or men who have azospermia (no sperm in the semen).
How effective is the Conception Kit™
For couples that have had difficulty conceiving the Conception Kit™ may be an alternative to expensive fertility treatments. A study conducted in 2000 showed that the Conception Kit™ was almost as effective as the more expensive intracervical injection (IV). Many insurance companies do not cover the cost of artificial insemination, leaving couples who cannot afford expensive procedures with little options. The Conception Kit™ is an affordable option for couples that are trying to conceive. The Conception Kit by Conceivex comes with everything that you will need to try to achieve pregnancy.
